About your instructors
Penny Barthel is a Cannabis educator, gardener, and recipe developer. She believes that Cannabis belongs in the garden. A certified cannabis horticulturist, Penny is nationally known for her gardening workshops and book The Cannabis Gardener (Penguin Random House 2021).
Emily Gogol, PhD. is a Cannabis educator, horticulturist and gardening advocate. Emily is CEO of Grow It From Home, which is awarded a multi-year USDA grant to promote growing Cannabis at home, in a backyard or on a patio. She has won numerous awards for her garden advocacy, including a Certificate of Recognition by
the California State Senate.
