For the first time, the California State Fair is allowing backyard growers (!) to enter their flower in the State Fair. This is bonkers. There is a form you have to fill out to register, but I’ll walk you through the steps. Also, they are charging $250 to enter, but I am happy to cover $125 of that for you, so basically you are just paying for lab testing which is awesome.

- Fill out the form. When you put in the strain name, be sure to label it like ‘Afternoon Punch by Grow it From Home’ etc, since there are a gazillion cultivars out there.
- Pay the $250 entrance fee. On the upside, this gets you lab testing etc.
- Email me the receipt for your entrance fee, and I will cover $125 of it, paying you by check.
Deadline for submission is May 22nd!
Once I submit the first sample, they will send me the details on how to ‘prepare’ the 7g of flower, which I will update on this website. So stay tuned!

- After you submit your application (discount code GROWIT10), the fair approves, proceed to #2….
- To get your sample tested, you set up account with the testing company email them:julia.innocenzi@sclabs.com
- You will have to email the testing company a copy of your ID/Driver’s License and sign a Testing Agreement (you sign this electronically, they just need first/last name)
- Testing company will pick up your entry!
- After they have received and processed your sample, send them a note for your test results, and they will email them to you. Otherwise, if you don’t email them you have to wait until the Fair etc to get your results it seems like.
